Deployments
On August 28th, 2011 a powerful tropical storm impacted millions along the east coast. RIUSAR was activated to assist coastal communities in incident mitigation.
In March of 2010 a devistating flood hit Rhode Island and caused its rivers to reach record breaking heights. RITF1 executed 4 live rescues, 38 evacuations, countless structural assesments and provided response assets to aid in unified command efforts.

In September 2005 RITF-1 was deployed to Hancock County, Mississippi for a body recovery effort involving a larg area of devastated structures.
In 2004 RIUSAR deployed a Logistical and Management support team to aid in recovery efforts.
Stand By and Support Missions
Provided a Base of Operations and assumed the role of Area Command during the State wide prepardness exercise "Operation Quahog"
Provided heavy rescue service to the City of Newport during the 2007 Tall Ships event which included a visit by President Bush to the Naval War College.
